blood compatibility cards in Library section

I submitted something to the Library section under Education that some might find of use. They are the fronts (RBCs) and backs (plasma) of cards that we made up to hang on the lanyards with our name badges. The previous AABB Standards sort of implied that nurses were supposed to check when they hung blood to make sure it was actually compatible with the patient's type so we devised these. In the year or two that we have been using them, we are finding that the nurses and techs actually love them. I know that they may prove educational because when we were vetting them with Nursing leadership one of them emailed a correction because he said that AB plasma could not be given to people of other types. I assured him that the card was correct and explained why. I think there is room for some education out there. The techs like them because we are all compulsive and "like to be sure."
