Topic is:Do We Really Understand RBC Destruction? Compatibility Testing for Patients with RBC Autoantibodies.It is about a 4hr trip each way for me, but I am considering making the trek. I answered no that it is in England. After a strange look she laughingly told me to leave. I said if not England in September, then how about Louisville in April? Steven Jeff Posted January 26, 2011 Share Posted January 26, 2011 The only time I have heard George Garratty give a lecture was at the Blood Group Serology conference at Durham University UK in the year 2000. If I recall correctly he talked about Warm AIHA's and the difficulties of providing cross-matched red cells. I also seem to remember that he attended the dinner that night and the social event too and certainly entered into the spirit of the conference.
