ElizabethP
If you use both LISS and PeG at your facility, do you QC both daily? The IFU say "suitably regular intervals" which leaves a lot of room for interpretation.
amym1586
They are PRN QC for us. So just as needed, whenever we actually use the reagent it gets QC'ed.
goodchild
Thank you for this question. We're going to QC the potentiators every other day without requiring day of use QC. Rewriting our reagent QC plan now. Curious what others do.
Dansket
Our SOP defines both Daily QC and Day of Use QC for gel card testing. For example, we don't do Weak D testing every day, so we only QC the anti-D antiserum on Day of Use. We do Type and Screens every day so these gel cards are included in Daily QC. tbostock
We do them daily, just in case eve or night shift has to use them, they are always ready to go. Malcolm Needs
