Posted November 28, 201212 yr comment_47804 We will be converting to this soon. The package insert says to use isotonic saline, preferably Phosphate-buffered. I am interested in how many are going to use the Phosphate-buffered. It was mandatory in the old Fetal Bleed Screening Test.
November 28, 201212 yr comment_47805 I will continue to use the PO4-buffered saliine - it is not that much more expensive and I only use the small cubes.
November 29, 201212 yr comment_47817 We switched back to saline as its on all of the cell washers which made it easier on the techs. We have used the new kit for 2 weeks now and have seen no difference.
November 29, 201212 yr comment_47820 If you are using the Echo from Immucor, is the PBS that is made up not a Phosphate Buffered Saline.
November 29, 201212 yr comment_47822 We plan to use isotonic saline. As we have with the old FMH. No issues.
November 29, 201212 yr comment_47825 Already have buffered saline (Phix from Immucor), so will use it for all testing.
