We will be converting to this soon. The package insert says to use isotonic saline, preferably Phosphate-buffered. I am interested in how many are going to use the Phosphate-buffered. It was mandatory in the old Fetal Bleed Screening Test.:paranoid:

I will continue to use the PO4-buffered saliine - it is not that much more expensive and I only use the small cubes.

We switched back to saline as its on all of the cell washers which made it easier on the techs. We have used the new kit for 2 weeks now and have seen no difference.

If you are using the Echo from Immucor, is the PBS that is made up not a Phosphate Buffered Saline.

We plan to use isotonic saline. As we have with the old FMH. No issues.

Correct. I was told by a reagent specialist at Immucor that this is the saline that they use for all reagent testing they perform in their labs.
