Kellpos
Wondering how many people maintain their individual membership, or just use the institution's membership. I, for one, dropped my membership over 12 years ago!
sharlene
I keep my individual membership. The website is helpful. Access to ordering the books is needed.
Lcsmrz
I believe in the AABB's mission and help support it with my individual membership. The newsletters are very informative, and I find that I don't always get my institutional mailings.
adiescast
I am an assessor and have an individual membership in addition to my institution's membership. I also retain membership in ASCP.
L106
I keep my individual membership. Since my institution's educational travel budget is almost nonexistent, keeping up with the material provided by AABB is one of the best ways I can try to stay current. Also, the price discount for ordering books makes it worthwhile to me.

clmergen
I keep both AABB and ASCP individual memberships. They lobby on behalf of all Medical Laboratory professionals and I support them with my membership fees. Plus I like the education I get with the monthly magazine subscriptions. Eagle Eye
I have my individual membership, I feel I need to give it back to my profession and I am an assessor so I need to keep it. I also keep my ASCP & NCA memebrship..I wonder I continue to keep curent with my NCA or not as ASCP & NCA merged....I need to read. Our membeship dues and donations from members supports them. AMcCord
My hospital does not have an institutional membership, but does pay for my individual membership. I agree that the membership is well worth the expense for education, book discounts and the information available on the member only section of their website. I use the website frequently when I'm working on procedures or implementing new processes.

JudiK
As an assessor, I keep my individual membership current. I find that performing assessments are just as educational for me as they are the facility.
