It is with huge regret that I can reveal that Marilyn Kay Grandstaff Moulds has just informed me that Peter Issitt died on Wednesday evening.  One of the truly great blood groupers.

Peter was always helpful, gracious and supportive of everyone in the field.  He made great contributions, not least of which was his definitive book Applied Blood Group Serology, which was recently reprinted.  A fabulous reference for the ages. Doubt it will ever be replaced or exceeded.  Hail and farewell.

One of the highlights of my career was getting to meet with and talk to Peter.  I am saddened to learn of the passing of another great in the world of blood banking.  Please share my condolences with Marilyn.

Malcolm, thanks for for keeping us informed.
