  1. Ahh ok so you did post it here !!!!!
  2. Sorry could not find "reply" without quote.
  3. Sounds Great!!! I shall be there. I'll pay once there if thats ok. Thank you Cliff. But I could have missed this new thread. I am not very computer smart, I happened to click the link. Do you want to also post it on the other thread to which everyone is already subscribed?
  4. Hi Mabel, Where shall we meet? and which date and time suits you best?
  5. To accommodate everyone, i would keep both options. Dinner is looking good for most except Mabel and Colleen. And I will arrange with Mabel where to meet and announce it. Dinner isnt that hard, is it? I am coming from far far far away so is the problem the reservation? I love red lobster but have always had to wait (with or without a reservation). So if you really cannot reserve we can go to McDo as you said, but it would be a disapointment. What are your thoughts on this Cliff? For dinner we have: Nine members as per below. Its your call Cliff, I dont know. I would just walk into a restaurant and ask to be seated but i guess that may not work ahhmm sorry if i missed someone please writ your name and ooo we can take a vote (or poll). I am just happy to come over and hopefully meet you all. 1. Liz OK 2. Terri OK 3. Rita OK Colleen Maybe 4. Julie OK 5. Jeanne OK 6. Melanie OK 7. Dianna OK 8. Laura OK 9. Cliff OK Johnv Maybe
  6. Flow.. ah yes, but the doctors give one dose without the KBTest so as not to charge more on the patient, if we performed flow they would certainly object. I am going to look into this test by Immucor, thanks.
  7. Thank you for the clarification. I dont have that test, maybe i should. We perform the KBT. Regarding the AABB statement: "... rarely a positive weak D test can be caused by a partial D antigen": this is key to the whole wording. It means that it may not be weak but partial and the mom may thus get alloimmunised. So give RHIG and lets ask them at the meeting. the way i see it this last statement confuses the first part of not giving rhig and seems to be what one may call a disclaimer... ""we told that it may be partial so be careful". this leaves the decision up to you. I do beleive we should give rhig. Thank you, interesting.I shall look up the test too. Is it a requirement?
  8. What is a fetal bleedscreen ? And I am not sure I understand what you are asking. Moms that are weak D may form anti-D if baby is D positive. So we consider them D negative and they are given RHIG, thats what you said, so what is the question? ok I read your post again. AABB says that they are not candidates for RHIG. Hmmm i must check that. In reality if they are mosaic they may form anti D so they should recieve rhig unless you want to check molecularly. But better to be even more cautious than AABB if that is written and what is your concern? you wont get cited write your internal SOP on this. I hope i got you right. Dont forget to tell me what you mean by a fetal bleedscreen.
  9. Mabel, you started this thread in 2010!! Of course we must meet
  10. I am registered for the luncheon talks. Lets try to make it so it doesn't conflict with those. There are always the coffee breaks. I will check my schedule and post again. We can always go to the International lounge
  11. I'll meet up with you, dying to get to know you. No need for food or seats, we can chat and walk around. There is always a booth to sit in or something similar. Mabel just set the date and time. Anyone else??
  12. I'll answer for the others: OF COURSE!!! Rita is most welcome!!!
  13. Why ofcourse you can! Cliff is keeping count
  14. We all had a badge each after I asked for them years ago. Then following the years of negative results, I asked for ones for only those who actually use the irradiator and not just wander around. There is also a wall one. Cant be too careful

Maybe its good you are jealous, because this way you will make the effort.... a year passes so quickly. I cannot believe I have been around for 7 years, it is as if I know everyone!!
  17. Oooooooh, come along Malcolm, consider it a second honeymoon!
  18. i would have made him a statue in gold.. because he would have increased my inventory for the other patients!!! - - - Updated - - - PS: no centralised BB, we are 100% reliant on ourselves.
  19. Thank you Cliff for following up on this, ah so you were away, ok. (I was about to start feeling ignored by you, certainly not by the members:boogie:). Great, it is actually going to happen.:clap:
  20. as mentioned above: DO NOT VOLUNTEER INFORMATION and JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION AND STOP. You may suddenly even get comfortable but be careful at that point NOT TO BLURT OUT things that you shouldnt or things that will lead him/her to ask you certain things. Stick to his questions and be short and have back up docs if he asks. and agree on things that you will refer to your director, we did this as certain things were ordered but had not arrived.. so that works.
  21. Friday dinner is good for me. Type: any. Transfer comm. will cost more than the transfer, as i am across the pond and beyond. Will pay on cite. Thank you
