CPT Code for Weak D Testing

Hello,

We have created a panel for Weak D Testing, separate drom ABO Rh. Has anyone else done the same and if so, how are you billing for it if at all? The closest CPT code that I have seen is 86906 (Blood typing Rh phenotype.) Is anyone using that code? Also, we are trying to determine the number of RVUs. Any advice on that would be helpful. Thanks all!

So when you are doing a complete antigen phenotype on a patient which includes 4 Rh antigens, can you charge 86906 four times? Or by the word "complete" does it mean you can only charge it once and it includes all four antigens?

You would charge it once and it would include all five antigens - D, C, c, E and e.
