Enzymes

Recommended Posts

This may not be a lot of use to you if you cannot get hold of the book, or you want to know a bit more detail, BUT...

If you look on page 521 of "The Blood Group Antigen FatsBook" (should be in ALL blood transfusion laboratories - it's brilliant), by Marion Reid and Christine Lomas-Francis, 2nd edition, 2004, Elsevier Academic Press, there are all sorts of facts about the different enzymes used in blood transfusion.

That having been said, many of the different enzymes are only regularly used in very specialised laboratories, so be aware that you may be making a rod for your own back, as all will need to be validated, quality controlled, ...you name it!
