My question do you have 2 people ID the patient prior to placing the Blood Bank armband on the patient and if you do how do you document the identities of the two identifiers? It stays with the order for blood products and has areas for the patient ID label, date and time drawn, transfusion history, pregnancy history, etc. There is an area for the two identifiers that verifies the patients identity.
