:boogie:If there is no history of transfusion or pregnancy in the past 3 months, we keep them for 10 days in the refrigerator. Our package inserts of reagents say testing should occur on samples less that are 0-10 days old. We have not had any problems.
:fingerscrI am not familiar with Meditech. But we had a similiar situation with an early version of another LIS. We "created" the antibodies anti-irr and anti-cmv and the antigens irr and cmv and it worked. I don't know if it will work for you.
Our Reference Lab rules out D,f,K,P1, and Xga on a single or heterozygous cell. Also they rule out C and E on one cell in the presence of Anti-D. I am interested in other opinions on this practice. Thanks.
