Does anyone know how fast RhoGAM is absorped and can be detected in a sample drawn right after an injection?

On occassion, we have received a sample drawn AFTER the RhoGAM shot was given. We have detected anti D in these samples, using solid phase automated testing. How fast can the RhoGAM be detected?

thanks.

When I tried to chase down this info a few years ago, I found it very hard to get a clear answer. It depends on the size of the patient, muscle mass, probably how active the muscle is after the injection, the time between injection and blood draw and probably some other variables. The only thing I was able to do was follow the patient over time and make sure it was getting weaker.

I've seen it 4+ strong by gel in a sample drawn by the nurse immediately after giving the injection. I've also seen it 4+ strong in several patients that were given their injection at the office and sent to us to be drawn - draw time 30-60 minutes post injection.
