Posted February 11, 20169 yr comment_64434 Currently using TelCOR as middleware, and I am aware of RALS (the Alere product)... but what else is out there that folks are using for connecting glucose meters, I-stats and other devices to the patient's electronic medical record.
February 11, 20169 yr comment_64445 Pweb is what we currently have for i-STATs and Abbott glucose meters.
February 11, 20169 yr comment_64448 I do remember hearing a lot about Pweb from my previous hospital POCC.
February 11, 20169 yr comment_64455 We use RALS for Inform II, i-STATs, CoaguChek XS Pro, HMS+ and BiliChek and love it!
November 29, 20168 yr comment_67780 I know nothing about it but the Roche rep a month ago came in and mentioned a connectivity solution through Roche.
February 15, 20178 yr comment_68807 In my POCT career I've used all of the middleware products and your best bets for flexibility of devices is either Telcor or RALS. We currently have Gluocse, Hemocue, I-STAT, Hepcon, Medtronic ACT Plus, DCA Vantage and the Clinitek connected to Telcor. It is very helpful as we are a 1000 bed hospital. The problem with vendor specific systems (such as Pweb) is that they claim they can connect any vendor, but our experience was that it is never completely true. Best to go with a neutral party.
September 7, 20222 yr comment_84027 We use Telcor for Clinitek, Nova Statstrip and Abbott ID NOW. Will soon add Afinion Clinitek isn't fun to program - but once 1 is set up, use a memory stick to copy programming to another device. We have UA and HCG set up on Clinitek
