According to the 21CFR640 . . . plts should be separated within 4 hrs of collection OR processed according to the manufacturer's directions for the collection process you are using. Once separated, they should "relax" for an hour and then are stored at 20-24C with agitation for up to 5 days. I think the separation time is different if you are in Europe.
