I know of no other blood bank that requires path approval to switch to ABO compatible products. Blood bankers are trained to know what is compatible and what is not. Ridiculous practice. fenwayman Posted January 19, 2011 Share Posted January 19, 2011 Outside of Rh+ to a Rh- (usually pltpheresis) we don't need to have our BB path sign what we call our "situational" form.
