We have our own donor center, so have access to donor units to use for the adsorption. I have a question about the "shelf-life" of these units -- how long can the untreated cells be used? donellda Posted January 15, 2006 Share Posted January 15, 2006 We used absorption cells from American Red Cross reference lab that were actually outdated units that they antigen typed for that purpose. I don't remember how long past their expiration that we used them but I'm pretty sure we used them for at least a month past. It's been a few years since I worked in a facility that did absorptions. Cliff Posted January 17, 2006 Share Posted January 17, 2006 We also have a donor center and collect our own heterologous cells. We keep them frozen in aliquots so they are ready to use.
