November 23, 20204 yr comment_81243 We use it and it is the RNs documenting. Unfortunately, Anesthesia refuses to move their documentation away from paper.
November 27, 20204 yr comment_81263 As of yet, we have been unable to migrate BCTA into the OR. But our division is looking to force the issue and put it in the OR regardless.
April 9, 20214 yr comment_81873 I know it's an old post, but I came looking for answers as well. Any updates?
September 24, 20213 yr Author comment_82513 It was not an easy sale but eventually we implemented the TAR in surgery with the option of a downtime slip in life-threatening situations in which there is no time to use the TAR. For our anesthesiologists to use TAR, the surgery RN initiates everything in the TAR reviews the blood bag with the anesthesiologist and then ends it in TAR. Vitals are not captured in TAR but recorded in a separate anesthesia record.
