  1. If you are contemplating the need to print ISBT128 labels in an on-demand fashion please consider Hema Trax as a solution...either PC Stand-Alone or our TCP/IP service that is interfaced with either Magic or Client Server; supported by Meditech. You can visit our web site: www.digi-trax.com, call 800-356-6126 or email info@digi-trax.com to get information, samples or demo etc.
  2. Phillys: Thanks for your response. I have discussed with our sales person in the East Mike waksh and he will be contacting you to see if we can help out. Richard
  3. Hello Phillys: Digi-Trax is sorry you did not know of our Lifecycle Software Service (LSS). We obviously have a different view and are both saddened and perplexexed by your vitrol toward Dig-Trax. The "outragous fee" you allude to pays for us to maintain a staff of Zebra certified hardware repair people to support and fix blood bank printers, software engineers who answer technical issues, validate and document our software for our LIS partners and you as an end user and software developers who are currently working full time to update and upgrade Hema Trax to provide the community with the best-of-class product. There continue to be changes and FDA issues with ISBT128. Digi-Trax also pays a significant fee to continune to support ISBT128 and participates actively in AABB and AATB conferences and meetings on a regular basis. In adition we participate at our expense in the Americas Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) every 6 months in support of the ISBT128 initiative. We are engaged every day in the activities of the blood banking community and proudly admit to being a profit making entity...sometimes. We would like to know what blood center you are with so we might address your concerns directly. Respectfully; Richard Kriozere
  4. Hello: The ISBT128 and JCAHO compliant bar coded ID band product from Digi-Trax (Hema Trax-ID) will operate with any 510(k) approved bed-side transfusion verification system such as the Mediware sysem described on this thread. You can see video demo of Hema Trax-ID at www.digi-trax.com/video/index.htm Richard;)
  5. Hi Shelley: If you could email your contact info to rkriozere@digi-trax.com maybe we can help you with your labeling and patient iD and with Hema Trax-ID. Richard
  6. Many companies can provide all ISBT128 compliant labels in small amounts. If you go to the www.iccbba.com and look at the "registered" vendors you can find the ICCBBA certified companies. Richard Kriozere Digi-Trax Corp. (www.digi-trax.com)
  7. If you have HemaTrax on-demand printing you may wish to reference www.digi-trax .co and click media then click Full 4 X4 or 4 X2 and see "Syringe Label" to see special labels desingned with 1/2" peel off for syringe labeling.
  8. <removed by admin> Please don't advertise in the forum. You may place your products in the Classified ads or Product Review sections for free.
  9. The talk Forum is not supposed to be for commercial purposes and if you offer ISBT128 labels and therefore are using the Standard you need to be paying a $5000.00 fee anually to the ICCBBA like any other entity that is utilizing the ISBT128 Standard...I think! You can check that out with the ICCBBA office.
  10. Please be aware that Digi-Trax provides a service called "Speed Print" where we can make all ISBT128 labels in any amount (just $50.00 min. per order and you can mix and match;)) See www.digi-trax.com and click on media and select "Speed Print":)
  11. Not to be too competitive but we would hope you all would look at Hema Trax from Digi-Trax before making decision regarding ISBT128 on-demand printing. Our sales people (info@digi-trax.com) can demo or go to www.digi-trax.com to see why our 20 years in blood banking with over 1000 users in the US and overseas makes for the best choice.
  12. Hello Robin: Thanks for the kind wishes. I am back at work now but need to explore reasons and action with doctors to deal wth the TIA I had in Montreal...complicated since it was termed cryptic and they also found a PFO (small hole betweeen upper ventricles). Anyway, the ARC is certainly commited and once they make decisions on computer systems plus implementation etc. they can move and best guess is now late 09 or 10. Richard:rolleyes:
  13. If you are looking for scripted label validation you can contact Digi-Trax at 800-356-6126 or info@digi-trax.com. We have such aproduct available for most systems.
  14. From ARC report at AABB and ATAG they say definitly commited to ISBT and will be meeting about all open issues with their board in the next 2 monts to make decisions on computer system ISBT etc. Everyone else seems to be going forward with implementation.
  15. You can get printed ISBT128 label samples from our company Digi-Trax. Go to our web site www.digi-trax.com and find your local rep. or email info@digi-trax.com; 800-356-6126.
  16. While the Red Cross may be a late arrival but ISBT128 blood is and will be traveling around the US in 2009 so it is time to get implemented.
  17. Recent published statements about Hema Trax have been plain "mean spirited" and untrue. We feel it is appropriate to quote these statements and respond. "First-ever label-printing software compatible with any thermal printer" Sounds good! However; Digi-Trax has chosen to support Sato and Zebra; two of the leading world class printer companies. Both have stood the test-of-time while many have failed over the last 15 years. We have chosen industrial strength models to function reliably in your "Mission Critical" environment. Good assets last and the cost is depreciated. "Computype & NiceWare International LLC" Two companies to deal with, and then you buy printers and labels...maybe from third or fourth...who is responsible for you mission critical ISBT 128 label system? Everyone...Anyone? "...much lower cost than competitive products" What product...Hema Trax? The fact is that low cost only means low cost. Dig-Trax believes that real value is what you are looking for and if it is just low cost we're not your guys! Digi-Trax pioneered on-demand Codabar ABO printing in 1989, cooperating with the Red Cross, Dept. of Defense and the FDA. We have gone on to stay-the -course for 19 years of ISBT 128 development. Money spent on Hema Trax has provided the blood banking community with continuing support and a host of innovations for blood banking and cellular therapy. Real value is in the leadership Digi-Trax has displayed on the long road to ISBT 128 and our commitment to new patient safety initiatives into the future. "...high cost...restrictions...held hostage" Nasty word from a company the used to lead the industry with pre-printed label solutions until on-demand came along. Our innovative pairing of matched stock blank labels and ribbon kits has saved money and inventory. Validated and tested by over 1000 customers over 15 years, Digi-Trax supplies meet the high standards needed in blood banking. It is not true that we require you to buy our labels for support. Any blood bank can call for help or guidance (800-356-6126). We do offer FREE printer service, including print heads, to clients who commit to a label purchase program. This option allows you to lock in pricing for long term in a market with raising commodity prices. We value your support. "NiceWare's LabelClinic Print Server...validated by leading blood bank software providers, with others in various stages of validation" Hema Trax is fully validated (a) under cGMP's by Digi-Trax; ( by EVERY leading blood bank software company; © by over 1000 real life implementations; (d) Digi-Trax offers every blood bank an easy to use scripted validation package for labels received from your supplier or labels printed in-house; (e) 15 years of actual experience with labels submitted to the FDA for approval. "This partnership will finally bring some SANITY to ISBT128 label printing." adds Computype's Wray. "Well, nice words to describe what Digi-Trax has done...in a world that seems to have forgotten what civility and competition are all about." adds Digi-Trax's Richard Kriozere Watch for Hema Trax-ID system for ISBT 128 transfusion verification, Hema Trax-CT for cellular therapy, H T-CT for tissue banking; on-demand DIN printing and our new DIN CHECK...right label on right bag...real committed innovations.
  18. If you have Hema Trax on-demand labeling system you can get specially designed 4' X 4" Full Face blank labels from Digi-Trax specially desinned for use on syringes. We also have a new 4 x 4 that can be used for multi-purposes as a full face, 1 or 2 quadrant label.
  19. Hello whbb: You are correct. Not everyone will want to use the Digi-Trax Hema Trax TCP/IP interface to Magic or Client Server, so we have a lower cost PC Stand-Alone Hema Trax version. In addition for very small useage we have a program to print any ISBt128 labels with only a $50.00 minimum ( see Media and Supplies on our web site www.digi-trax.com and click on "speed Print"). Hope this helps. Richard
  20. Sunquest has yet to release their 6.3, awaiting FDA 510(k) so they are prohibited saying much. The price they charge for Hema Trax will carry their clients forward from Hema Trax stand-alone to Hema Trax TCP/IP interfaced. The interfaced product will eliminate any manual transposition errors. If any Sunquest user is very low volume they can get pre-printed labels from Digi-Trax through the "Speed Print" program. See www.digi-trax.com , click "Media and Supplies" and click "Speed Print".
  21. I would go to www.digi-trax.com and look at the shoping cart icon. We have "Speed Print" program small quantities of any ISBT128 label with only a $50.00 minimum.
  22. Our Hema Trax is not only interfaced with Meditech but with ALL US blood bank software companies...so if out grow Meditech there is still HOPE!
  23. What do you do as your blood bank grows and you wish to print directly from Meditech software? Also, when you use stand-alone software don't you have to take data from Meditech and then manually enter it into your stand-alone PC system from Computype? This can be a source of manual transposition errors, since keystroke errors are proven to be made every 300 to 500 strokes.
  24. Hello Robin: Thanks for the kind words and the straight talk.
  25. Hello Robin and Debbie: Thanks for your support of HemaTrax. We have worked with Sunquest to provide the intrim Stand-Alone solution 6.x. I believe Sunquest has taken that fact that eventually they will be providing an interface solution once they get FDA 510(k), but they have to be very careful about what is said in regard to FDA. I believe the pricing reflects the fact that both products will eventually avaiable. The Stand-Alone may continue to have value as a complete maintance down-time solution and back up. The hardware can be used with both systems. We all do need to make some money to support this continuing product effort and ISBT128, ICCBBA ansd AABB activities. Hope we don't "qualify" as a conspiracy.
