I like to know, what every one is using for Diff. competency. We are using known Pt. slide for initial training and for annual competency and we have a lot of variations between techs results. We looked in to Cellavision (by Sysmex) I was not impressed with the software. Send me some suggestions. Thanks

we report Collegen / EPI and ADP in sec with comments as: Platelet disfunction detected by the PFA-100 may be acquired, inherited, or induced by platelet inhibiting agents. Uremia may cause platelet disfunction. Hematocrit < 35% causes prolonged closure time, and HCT < 20% causes significantclosure time. Studies show that significant increases in closure time when the count of functionally normal platelets is reduced from 200,000/ml to 50,000/ml with a constant hematocrit. The following are expected patterns observed with the PFA-100 tests on normal subjects and subjects with various disorders.
