in the operating manual of the synergy heat block, it states more than once to turn off when not in use. is that what most users do?? or, do you have if on 24/7. would appreciate input.

my control is the same as janet. the 8th tube is saline only (no patient plasma). while we are on the subject, though, how do you do proficiency testing on this test method? there is not a CAP survey available for it, is there? we currently have two techs set up the titer. this is done semi-annually. i would appreciate any input!!

1. daily vol.dispensed chk 2. daily clean/visual inspect. of tubing 3. daily qc (mostly for rgts) with known pos/neg expected rxn. 4. wkly fill check 5. annual tube & tube holder replacement i agree, if i had wanted to do instruments, i would've been a chemist:))

we have gone to using tube on rh neg moms who are in lab/del to avoid detectin the residual D due to antepartum dose of rhig.
