If blood was needed from Red Cross' rare donor files is there a way to bill the patient for all the costs associated with obtaining such a unit?Thanks! AMcCord Posted February 12, 2013 Share Posted February 12, 2013 You can bill for work actually performed on the patient sample using the appropriate CPT codes. When I bill for that kind of workup most of the charges have to go in manually. You probably will not be able to recover all costs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
