Can anyone tell me what P code they are using for pre-pooled cryo?

We're using the same P code for single cryo, times the number of units in the pool, usually 5.

So a pool is P9012 x 5.

Since we did not pool it, we are not charging the pooling charge.

We were told by Red Cross that we can bill a pooling charge for pre-pooled cryo.

We (in NY state) were told that we can only bill the pooling charge IF were are charged a pooling charge AND the pooling charge must be on the bill from our supplier.

There is no specific P-code for any pre-pooled products. Report (charge) the number of cryo units pooled and the pooling fee. CMS has yet to catch up with pre-pooled products for reporting. The products are the same, we are just paying for a purchased service for the pooling. Still report all the same way.
