Guest jabattani
Can anyone recommend a scale for my Echo. I need one that reads to 2 decimal places in grams. I am trying to find one that is not so expensive and large. If you all have any suggestions I would appreciate it. Thanks.
clmergen
Immucor recommended one for us that we bought on line. It is a pocket sized "jeweler's" scale that we like to refer to as the drug scale. It is the Durascale 100. I googled it and ordered online. I think we paid about $75. L106
I wish that Immucor had recommended the Durascale 100 to us! We had to search for an appropriate scale, and the best we could find was an electronic balance scale from Ohaus called "Scout-Pro" and I think it cost around $400!!! So clmergen's suggestion sounds like an excellent choice!
RR1
In the UK, Immucor supply all labs with an electronic balance for weighing the capture strips, and these are also re-calibrated to UKAS standards annually. The strip weighing is an integral part of ensuring the equipment is functioning properly so therefore you should request that the supplier provides this as part of the contract.
