GOSBB's Achievements

  1. I tested this rule with 2 units on a nursing floor with a global sensor recording one minute readings for 40 minutes. The test was conducted in a nursing area comprable to the patient rooms. The 2 units were stored on the counter with a global sensor wire between the units. The unit raised in temperature around 19 minutes for 1-10C. So our hospital has changed to the 15 minute rule that the nursing programs are teaching currently.
  2. We are looking to start looking at TAR within the next 3 months. EMAR is going up this month. Any and all information is greatly appreciated. apuckett@morehead.org
  3. I have noticed that we have a few more when either the platelet count or white blood cell count is increased (large buffy coat), with the room temperature maybe a little cooler than usual. Saline replacement is always negative. Just some observations made this past year.
  4. It was my esteem pleasure to have met George Garratty with Peter Issitt at an AABB meeting. He was an outstanding speaker. He will be greatly missed. Praying for his family.
  5. Has this patient received any transfusions including IVIG? Have you tested A2 cells with the patients plasma? Has this patient received dose(s) of RhIG or Rhophylac? How long ago?
