    We have a permanent deferral list for the register to use and it is changed out monthly. Also, if the donor is a deferral when you do finally put it in the computer it will not allow and we do a post donation deferral. Stephanie

    We use the disposable Temp a Dots by 3M

    I make a copy of the package insert "Quality Assurance Certification" from 3M and date and initial. Also 3M will send you the product performance procedures if you want them for your file.

    We still have the question in the SOP with the following comment. The questions will be asked according to current FDA and CDC guidance. An information sheet will be made available for the donors to read. At this time the question is NOT on our form and we do not ask it.

    Donors need a picture id. We do not do SS#'s anymore. We use birthdate.

    we take donors if they have normal thyroid test and feel well.

    We are a collection center and we do not test. The testing is done by dip stick at the hospitals. We then credit them for any plt. that does not pass.

    AABB has a salary list for the nation and list all kinds of positions.

    Both AABB and ABC have blood banking salary surveys by positions and regions etc. They should be of help to you.
