Rhona24 Posted June 21, 2012 Share Posted June 21, 2012 We have a 35 year old obstetric patient (CCDee, weakly pos DAT (IgG) ) who is 11 weeks pregnant with an apparent auto anti-D. She has had 2 previous misscarriages. After the second miscarraige she had a warm free auto antibody reacting with all cells but when titred out showed anti-D specificity. Malcolm Needs ☆ Posted June 22, 2012 Share Posted June 22, 2012 Yes, but two things.I don't think that the true specificity is auto-anti-D, but a mimicking auto-anti-D.I have doubts that the two miscarriages are involved with the antibody. Malcolm Needs ☆ Posted June 23, 2012 Share Posted June 23, 2012 If it were a true auto-anti-D, no matter how many times you adsorb the plasma with rr red cells, the anti-D would not adsorb out.If it were a mimicking auto-anti-D, it would be adorbed out eventually with rr red cells.
