Billing Blood transfusions from a free-standing infusion center

We are looking into providing this service, but all the information in regards to billing/reimbursement is for hospitals/hospital outpatient centers. We bill under a doctor and are not part of a hosptial. Any information out there about billing/reimbursement in this setting?

Before you get that far--where are you getting the blood and who is doing the testing? Many states require that free standing centers have a "limited transfusion service." It can be done, but many times the "due diligence" shows that it is not financially worth it. Good Luck!
