I am looking up research for a project and I wanted to get some information from those in the field. Does anyone know if there has been a study that has examined hemoglobin a1c levels and additive solutions? There are lots of studies that suggest that transfusion of older blood (>25 days) to patients have increased negative outcomes. There is no link to hemoglobin a1c and anticoagulants but I can't find any papers on the effects of additive solutions to hemoglobin levels.
