Per a helpful Pharmacy intern, Nate Lantaff: There is no known treatment to reverse the antiplatelet effect of Zontivity at this time and platelet transfusion should not have expectations to benefit a patient in need of antiplatelet reversal. Due to Zontivity’s incredibly long half-life (up to 300 hours), inhibition of platelet aggregation can be expected for up to 4 weeks after discontinuation. Withholding Zontivity during an acute bleed would likely be ineffective considering the long half-life as compared to clopidogrel and aspirin (30 minutes and 3-6 hours, respectfully).
