Our blood bank is exploring a move to Softbank. However, the build quote only includes the upload and verification of archival data. We have to supply them with the archival data. One route to obtain this is "through internal IT resources." Wondering if anyone has any experiencing extracting data from Safetrace/HBB for use in Softbank. -
We have just switched to Safetrace TX and I am struggling to figure out what reports are best for tracking QA! Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated! Thanks! M

Currently my lab is using Cerner Millennium. We are being asked to look at new Blood Bank LIS systems because the rest of the lab is going to Epic Beaker. I have seen demos of Haemonetics SafeTrace and Mediware HCLL. I am also trying to get one with Soft scheduled. I am seeking advice from current users of` these systems. Are you happy with your BB LIS? If given the chance to change to another would you? Any additional advice is appreciated. -
Hi, Our hospital is in the process of evaluating new software for the entire institution. We have looked at Cerner, Epic and McKesson. We (blood bank/TS) currently have SafeTrace (HBB) and personally, I dislike it greatly. But it has been a very long time since I have worked with anything else. Can folks give me some pros and cons of Cerner and Epic? I heard that Epic does not have a BB/TS module so if our administration chooses them, we will be stuck with SafeTrace. SafeTrace has horrible reporting and the emergency release for an unknown patient doesn't work very well. So if we get Epic, is there any chance that I could get some better statistics, even though we would still have the same BB/TS system? Any advice would be most appreciated. Thanks, Amelia
