At my organization, we routinely do not perform an antibody screen on a patient that has had a previous antibody identified. We immediately go to a modified antibody identification. At all of my previous places I have worked we have always ran an antibody screen when a new sample comes into the department regardless if the person has a previous antibody identified or not. I am curious what other organizations are doing in this situation.
