Thanks Malcolm, but could you please explain me, if IgM depend on complement in its action, what is the benefit of plasma in detection of cold agglutinin or allocold antibody? Thanks

Dear My Colleagues, I am confused about which sample should be used in detection cold antibody, either allo or auto? Shall I use serum or plasma? Or both are suitable… My confusion arise from statement that, IgM depend on complement in its action and plasma has no complement….!!!!! Thanks.

Dear colleagues, I need your opinion about one query situation; could we extend the expiry date of empty blood collection bag, in line with the separated blood component inside? In other words, would we be able to use blood component inside bag after bag expiration date of collecting bag itself (i.e. PRBC will be expired at 30/3/2014 but the expired date of bag itself - even empty - is 20/3/2014). Also, I will be so glade if you attach here any documentation about my question… Thanks a lot for your cooperation

Dear friends; Anyone has a source about special waning or considerations of using PRBCs separated from low-volume whole blood? I know, we don't use its plasma or platelets and discard it. Thanks my colleagues

Yes Malcolm, but if there is warm auto Ab and removed by tube IAT So I got same benifit that I removed this aouto, let me to know if there is underneath allo warm or not???
