  1. In Blood Group 'A' THere are many Subgroups for which Anti Sera for all Sub Groups are not available. Only Anti A1 Lectin is available with which we are able to identify Only A1. If the reaction Is negative peoplre call it as 'A2'. Which is not acceptable. In such cases If the reaction is Positive with 'A1" Lectin Group is 'A1'. If the reaction is Negative this can be called as other than Group'A1' For tranasfusion purposes proper compatibility Testing should be followed and If this is O.K. Transfusioncan be given
  2. sir, THere are three things to be kept in mind before doing this procedure. It is the volume which is increased as it may be a overload for the patient. The haematocrit value may decrease and sterility of the blood bag may be marred as we are opening a closed system.
  3. Sir, In our experience The blend which has IgG and IgM detects both D and weak D antigens and there fore it is not found necessary to do the Weak D testing separately. Thankyou.
