If you wouldn't mind, I would like a copy of your procedure on antibody ID also. I work at a small community hospital with just myself working in blood bank unless I have a day off, then someone fills in and they are not real comfortable with ab id's as they come up infequently. I do know there is a QC application for Path Net blood bank and at one time I watched part of an illuminations session on it but it didn't show it in much detail. We had a user meeting here a month ago and I asked the representive from Cerner about it and was told that it's available but apparently not being used by anyone yet. I don't see the company as being very helpful with having this application used but hopefully I'm wrong about that. Janet D

Hi All, I am a section coordinator for Blood Bank, Serology and Urinalysis at a small community hospital. We have one tech covering these areas each day and others in heme, chem, micro, and special chem each day. Working at a small hospital as the only real, or maybe not so real, blood bank person means I have to work at keeping current and I try to get to continuing education whenever possible. This forum should be a great help for me as I love any and all information. Our hopital is using Cerner Millenium software and so I use the PathNet blood bank application and I spent a fair amount of time working with the computer people in Kansas City setting up/designing our system.
