We distribute platelets to transfusion services who then issue for patients. As a collection facility is "issue" the distribution to the transfusion service? Deb Posted July 14, 2011 Share Posted July 14, 2011 We have a transfusion service but I asked this same question of another center and their qc sampling was to test "N" of platlets on day 2, on day 3,4 and 5 as they issued them to transfusion services.
