Tango Users: When do you run QC?

I work in a Blood Bank Lab in Canada that is one of the first in our country to use the Tango Optimo. We are in the process of tweaking our procedure manuals, specifically our QC section. We would like to know when different labs that use the Tango run their QC.

We know once per day, when new lot numbers of plates are put on, when new Bromelin is made, when new liquid reagents/cells go on, and when service has been done. What we would like to know is if there are any other circumstances that your lab would run QC again.

Specifically if you need to re-initialize the Tango, or if you need to turn the Tango off.

Thank you in advance to any that respond.

Hi Robyn,

They have a Tango where I used to work, and we did not run QC when Tango had to be reinitialized or if it was turned off. Thank goodness because back then it had to be reinitialized A LOT! Hopefully it's not like that now. We ran QC exactly how you stated.
