cold waterbath

Recommended Posts

We purchased a Thermo cryobath. In the Operator's Instructions, it states that if you intend to use the cryobath below a certain temperature that you should use an antifreeze solution in the circulating water to prevent ice from forming in the pumps. This is especially of concern when the cryobath is emptied and re-filled, because the water that flows through the cooling system is exposed to temperatures below freezing in order to achieve cooling to the desired temperature. We keep our re-fill water stored in the refrigerator so that we avoid that problem.
