Hema Trax Debunks ISBT 128 competitive "Fairy Tales"

Recent published statements about Hema Trax have been plain "mean spirited" and untrue. We feel it is appropriate to quote these statements and respond.

"First-ever label-printing software compatible with any thermal printer"

Sounds good! However; Digi-Trax has chosen to support Sato and Zebra; two of the leading world class printer companies. Both have stood the test-of-time while many have failed over the last 15 years. We have chosen industrial strength models to function reliably in your "Mission Critical" environment. Good assets last and the cost is depreciated.

"Computype & NiceWare International LLC"

Two companies to deal with, and then you buy printers and labels...maybe from third or fourth...who is responsible for you mission critical ISBT 128 label system? Everyone...Anyone?

"...much lower cost than competitive products"

What product...Hema Trax? The fact is that low cost only means low cost. Dig-Trax believes that real value is what you are looking for and if it is just low cost we're not your guys!

Digi-Trax pioneered on-demand Codabar ABO printing in 1989, cooperating with the Red Cross, Dept. of Defense and the FDA. We have gone on to stay-the -course for 19 years of ISBT 128 development. Money spent on Hema Trax has provided the blood banking community with continuing support and a host of innovations for blood banking and cellular therapy. Real value is in the leadership Digi-Trax has displayed on the long road to ISBT 128 and our commitment to new patient safety initiatives into the future.

"...high cost...restrictions...held hostage"

Nasty word from a company the used to lead the industry with pre-printed label solutions until on-demand came along. Our innovative pairing of matched stock blank labels and ribbon kits has saved money and inventory. Validated and tested by over 1000 customers over 15 years, Digi-Trax supplies meet the high standards needed in blood banking.

It is not true that we require you to buy our labels for support. Any blood bank can call for help or guidance (800-356-6126). We do offer FREE printer service, including print heads, to clients who commit to a label purchase program. This option allows you to lock in pricing for long term in a market with raising commodity prices. We value your support.

"NiceWare's LabelClinic Print Server...validated by leading blood bank software providers, with others in various stages of validation"

Hema Trax is fully validated (a) under cGMP's by Digi-Trax; (B) by EVERY leading blood bank software company; © by over 1000 real life implementations; (d) Digi-Trax offers every blood bank an easy to use scripted validation package for labels received from your supplier or labels printed in-house; (e) 15 years of actual experience with labels submitted to the FDA for approval.

"This partnership will finally bring some SANITY to ISBT128 label printing." adds Computype's Wray.

"Well, nice words to describe what Digi-Trax has done...in a world that seems to have forgotten what civility and competition are all about." adds Digi-Trax's Richard Kriozere

Watch for Hema Trax-ID system for ISBT 128 transfusion verification, Hema Trax-CT for cellular therapy, H T-CT for tissue banking; on-demand DIN printing and our new DIN CHECK...right label on right bag...real committed innovations.
