medtech
We are in the process of budgeting for a new printer for Blood Bank Transfusion Service unit tag printer. What type of printer do you have? What type media do you use?
adiescast
We use a laser printer (hp laserjet 4250) for our tags. You probably need to check with your LIS vendor to see what printers they support. Our tags are produced by Standard Register. We use 8.5 x 11 paper with a label attached. Franklyn
We use a three ply form, so its an oki data dot matrix type printer.
BCWTechWriter
Our printers are from Zebra and the labels themselves are provided on a roll of about 250 each. It is a very space friendly and reliable printer.
cakesone
How much info is printed on the Zebra printer label and what are the dimensions of that label? Once printed is the label affixed directly to the unit or is it stuck onto a cardboard tag which is then attached to the unit. Can you fax me a label with info printed on it with the patient info redacted for HIPPA issues? Thanks for your input.Mike ChechileMLS I, MSBaystate Medical CenterTransfusion Medicine Servicephone: 1-413-794-4610fax: 1-413-794-2721
