FHIR reading resources requested

I find myself involved in a variety of projects integrating the lab with other systems.

I’ve become familiar with HL7 v2, but have heard a fair amount about FHIR (Fast Health Interoperability Resources).

I tried to read the specs, and i can see some of the topics I would want to understand (RESTful, “Smart-on-FHIR”) and questions I might ask (all or none?  use cases?)

What I can’t find is something in the Informatics world going to the middle level understanding.

Is there an updated textbook or general review that someone might recommend for readability?
