Is there a platelet count that points to the sample being hemolyzed? Had a sample with low rbc and mcv but normal mchc. The smear had intact rbcs and the platelet count was high but verified on the smear with no clumping. The sample was grossly hemolyzed and trying to figure out what prompts others to suspect hemolysis.
