    I started my medical technology career as a generalist in 2002. In 2007 I started working exclusively in the blood bank. I became an SBB student in the fall of 2011 and graduated August 2013. It was one of the best things I have ever done. Now I am currently studying for the exam.

    I attended the online SBB program offered by Blood Systems Laboratories. I completed the program this past August. I took the SBB certification exam in December and passed it the first time. The program is very challenging but well worth it. It prepares students very well for the exam. Elisa Camacho, MT(ASCP)SBB

    I am also an SBB student and will be taking the exam at the end of this year. Thank you for this advice. I am very nervous about the exam but am hoping that reading the threads helps.
