    florida blood centers has now been appovered on the 7 day platelets they have had a good turn out with it. if u go to there web site i beleive its on there

    the bank i work for we take 16 yr olds. with parent consent. it has helped use alot when going to highschools. we dont let them donate double red cells but as long as they fit the requirments we let them

    we have use this card for a few yrs now and they donors love it. when we reg them we give them a list of meds and travle area list which they look over before they can donate and when we get in the screening room there is a quest that ask have u ever taken meds from the def list and then we go from there

    we use dardens cert. are center gives 10dollors just for walking in the door and trying. the mobiles get them once in awhile and we do a punch card. every second puch u get ten. so if we r doing a big promo in the center we do 20-40 then u could walk away with alot and they are good at red lobster olive garden smoky bones and bahama breeze our donor base is mostly retirees and they love the fact they can go eat and pay little to nothing

    ive used both the center i now work for just uses clora prep but i find it to leave alot of donors arms all red in the 4 yrs ive been in blood banking ive found a handful of people allergic to iodine.i think its better

    well here in florida ive worked for 2 differnt blood banks, both which use hemonitcs and alxy. i personally like the hemonitcs for 1 on that if u cant get the second unit u can still use the unit without "throwing" it away. on alxy its all or nothing. also on alxy if u dont get any blood just a stick the donor is def for 112 days. when i used the hemonitcs if u get one unit its 56 days and if u get nothing u can try the next day or we would put them back to wholeblood.there is no def wait on that like i said alxy is 112 def wait. im not if that is what it is eles where but at the center im at now that is how it is. also on alxy the draw/return cycle is like 4-5 and on the hemonitcs its 2 so ther is a big differnts on this
