I'm very happy to find these forums with all the different perspectives and experiences of it's users! I was a lab tech (MLT) for 10 years with experience as a generalist, reading cultures in Micro, elutions in Blood Bank, etc. I was fortunate enough to be accepted into an LIS analyst role that I have currently been in for a little over a year. Even though I am the Safetrace Tx blood bank software administrator, I am Epic certified and get to dabble in just about everything pertaining to the lab. I'm looking forward to asking and answering questions!

Does anyone use an adhesive label for their patient tags on blood products? We are using Safetrace Tx and print a patient tag on cardstock that is attached with a plastic loop. Can anyone recommend an adhesive label to directly stick onto the unit? Do you have any problems removing the label when the unit comes back to be used for a different patient, or any problem attaching to cold units?
