lschmidt Posted April 6, 2016 Share Posted April 6, 2016 We perform automated body fluids on the Beckman Coulter DxH800. The units we are using for reporting patients are cells/mm3. Our proficiency testing requires us to change those units to x10^3/uL for WBC and x10^6/uL for RBC counts. I'm curious what other labs are using for units for patient testing. nziegler Posted April 7, 2016 Share Posted April 7, 2016 I do the exact same thing. Patients in cells/uL (or mm3), but CAP for some ungodly reason requires the 10^3 and 10^6.
