MCV Delta Failures on Coulter DxHs

To other Labs running the DxH800s, are you seeing an increase in MCV delta failures without a reason like transfusion, elevated glucoses, etc.? We have been seeing an increase in delta failures and when the sample is recollected the MCVs check out. Also we are seeing an increase in MCVs with lower glucoses. We use to see MCV increases with elevated glucoses say in the 400 - 500 range. Now we are seeing it in the 200-300 range. Anyone else seeing this problem, please reply.

We have had some issue with this. When it first happened we needed to recalibrate the instruments as we had just moved them. What we see now is intermitant and we have not been able to determine what the cause is. Like you, if we redraw the patient we do not get the delta check but we also see this delta failure correlate with delta failures on MCH and/or MCHC. If you find an answer please share it.
