Computer Physician Order Entry

My facility is working on a CPOE build with Cerner as the HIS and we have Sunquest (Misys) for our Blood Bank System. Does anyone have any experience with this setup for physicians ordering transfusions? I'm needing some input on the best way to have this set up. Thanks.

It wasn't that hard to build in the Cerner HIS from what i remember, but sorry I don't have any idea of the interface with Sunquest.

Do you have any choice about using Cerner? If you do--RUN from it. I have been a BB speciality Tech for 16 years. It is THE WORST computer system I have ever worked with.

We use Cerner as well. Erm......... it`s not the greatest of systems.......by a long way!
