June focuses on the usual eclectic international news, a spate of disease-related news items, and a provocative article in which Richard Smith (former editor of the Br Med J) argues that journals are part of the marketing arm of pharmaceutical companies. I encourage everyone to use Google on our homepage to search the TraQ website. It really is the best way to find our resources. As June 14 is World Blood Donor Day, check what your country is doing to celebrate (International News). We are sorry to report the death of Dr. Jack Bowman, a transfusion medicine pioneer and one of the world's leading experts in treating and preventing hemolytic disease of the newborn.
