wvmiller Posted January 6, 2004 Share Posted January 6, 2004 Are you using tincture of iodine or povidone-iodine as you iodine sterilant? One of the reasons tinture of iodine fell into disfavor was that povidone-iodine was as effective and rarely caused either sensitization or reactions in people who had previously been sensitized to tincture of iodine.
