  1. rrcc1974 we have Meditech Magic. We are currently at 5.66, moving to 5.67 in Feb. We are not on Client Server or the 6.x platforms.
  2. Hi everyone, Our hopsital is in the process of FINALLY implementing a BB module. No more testing book! We have Meditech as our Lab LIS and hospital. So our options are Meditech BB module and Softbank. The IT staff here would love for us to just get the Meditech since interface would not be needed and familar to the staff. I have looked at reviews for both Meditech and Softbank, and saw demos of both. I lean toward the Softbank. The ITstaff is not 100% against Softbank, but want to have good reasons such as areas where Meditech lacks and Softbank has those options. So any feedback on this would be great. And anyone out there who has Meditech LIS who got the Softbank, how did your interface integration go? Thank you!
  3. I may not have explained question very well. When there is a traumatic tap, there is a calculation to perform to show true csf wbcs, b/c when traumatic tap, the peripherial blood wbcs can falsely increase the WBC CSF count. TRUE WBC = WBC COUNTED CSF - (WBC IN BLOOD X RBC COUNTED CSF) / RBC IN BLOOD
  4. Hi, how many labs out there use the WBC correction formula for CSF when the CSF has a high RBC? I used the calculation at my old lab, and my new lab does not.
  5. Hi, I am working with an Advia for the 1st time, and at a new place. They do not use thier Advia 120 for body fluids b/c they say they dont want the cost of the extra body fluid QC material...at the place I came from we did not have a "body fluid QC" just normal QC and ran body fluids on the our Sysmex. I am just wondering is the Advia truly different that way and we do need a certian QC to run body fluids. Thanks for the help!
